Statement:
Pam Morton lives in Shiremoor, North Tyneside, and works primarily in acrylic on canvas. Pam trained at Newcastle College of Art in Graphic Design in 1969. She began her career as a display artist and after her family came along, she built up a successful career in Sales. It was only in 2015 that Pam began painting again and her first ever sale, ‘Madly Deeply’, was to the wife of one of ‘The Eagles’ and is now in their home in Beverly Hills USA.
“My main influence was my Mum; she was a brilliant artist. I love to paint large bold paintings that are as realistic as possible with an illustrative slant. I like to create an atmosphere, a story, and a memory of the subject so that when people view my art they can immediately be transported back to that place and moment in their lives. I like to capture beauty and emotion in all my subjects, whether landscape, human or animal portrait.”
My Work is displayed at:
Northeast art collective Gallery
The Bridekirk Gallery
The Links Art Gallery.
